Project assignment
- Working with another team
- 2 to 12 weeks
- Workload agreed up front
A marketplace where open tasks and existing skills find each other – embedded in Microsoft Teams.
A gig is a time-limited assignment outside someone's regular role. From half a day to a project running several months – the size determines what needs to be agreed with the manager.
Gigs with type, duration, workload, department and required skills. Filters and notifications make sure the right people see them.
Profile, interests and availability are compared with every open gig. People who are not looking still receive fitting offers.
Skills, languages, interests and availability – plus everything that was actually demonstrated in completed gigs.
Applications go through the manager. Capacity and workload relief are settled before the assignment starts.
Both sides confirm completion and give feedback. «My Accomplishments» makes personal development visible.
Which skills are in demand, which lie idle, where does exchange between units happen? Dashboards instead of gut feeling.
Hitchhiker runs as an app inside Microsoft Teams. People sign in with their existing company account – no extra password, no installation, no additional interface to remember. Anyone who prefers the browser opens the same application there.
Hitchhiker is developed and operated in Switzerland. Only the data the marketplace needs is processed: profile, gigs, applications and feedback. Who sees which report is governed by roles – managers see their team, HR sees aggregates, nobody sees other people's applications.
